T-shirts again?

Forget the frilly stuff!

The Baby Wit site rocks! These are some of the cutest and, as for some, most irreverent baby tees and onesies I've seen. It's like Hot Topic for BBs: punk, goth, toons, political statements, etc. Union Jack tank? Check. Mullet pride? Check. Peace sign? Check. "I already know more than the President?" Check. Sonic Youth? Check. "My parents are big gay liberals." Check. "Been Inside for Nine Months." Check. Wow!

I'm actually partial to the pink onesie with the red "Dad" heart tattoo.

Punching bag

Cletus has already had her morning workout, but wait...she has her second wind. All the little jabs, kicks, rolls, etc. are small, painless, and endearingly sweet, but still sort of freaky. If I hadn't seen the ultrasound, I would swear there's a little alien in there trying to punch its way out of its pod.

When I was at my dental appointment yesterday, the cute young hygienist regaled me with stories of her Easy Bake pregnancy. I can only hope my labor and delivery goes as smoothly as hers: about seven hours total, and she said she didn't need an IV, let alone an epidural. She says she misses the little movements.

Thumbsucker caught on film

She tried to squirm and wiggle into every nook and cranny of the womb but we manage to get this and this shot of her sucking on her thumb. Seeing these images Friday made the impending arrival completely and utterly real to me. Two feet, two hands, kidneys, four chambers in the heart, no visible prehensile tail, and a properly forming face were all very welcome sights.

A tail might have been neat but we can always add that later should she want one.

A girl named Cletus?

No boy parts there. The ultrasound technician has been wrong only twice in 10 years and not once in the past five years. So Cletus is looking like a mini-Webhamstress!

Baby Moves. Footwork all wrong

I saw Cletus moving last night for the first time. While exciting, it was also a bit disconcerting to see the footwork not quite as precise as I'd like it. Cletus gets an A for effort but a C for not using proper heel-toe movements. Cletus will be able to hear outside the womb in a few weeks. That's good because I'm saving up plenty of pointers.

The 2024 Fencing World Championships and Summer Games are getting closer every day. I hear there's a fetus in Bulgaria that can already lunge across both of mom's kidneys and there's supposed to be one in Italy with a ballestra at 26 weeks. We have our work cut out for us.

At least the daily workouts are happening at around the same time every day so we can schedule regular lessons with a coach soon.

The Day the Belly Passed the Boobs

Here are photos at 13 weeks, 15 weeks, and 20 weeks showing Cletus is making definite progress with the plot to escape. Those who keep saying that the webhamstress barely looks pregnant have been underestimating how thin she really was.

Today marks the 1/2 way mark. We'll probably be taking more photos during the last half.

Merchandise

Due to Cletus's growing fan base, I am considering developing some Cletus merchandise. One suggestion I've received is a FREE CLETUS t-shirt, modeled after the popular FREE WINONA shirts.

Sassy T-Shirt Pregnant Lady

The Webhamster has decided that I can celebrate and distinguish my pregnancy by becoming the "Sassy T-Shirt Pregnant Lady." You've already heard about my yen for the Buddha "Rub My Belly" t-shirt, though I still haven't found one. I've been combing sites like CafePress for their choice selection of humorous tees. There are plenty of the Britney Spears ripoffs, such as M.I.L.F. and I Have the Golden Ticket.

A couple of days ago, however, I stumbled upon the 2Chix site, which has some of the best maternity humor tees I've seen. There are even some for Webhamster, including "I'm the Milkman" and "My Boys Can Swim." For myself, I'm rather fond of the cute stick figures with circular bellies that read "Knocked Up." Tell it like it is, sister! I think the one that says "Who's Your Daddy?" would make an excellent addition to my wardrobe.
