Crazy cat

My cat is insane. Period.

Okay, let me clarify with apologies to my psychologist friends. Her diagnosis is probably something more like bipolar disorder. She sleeps most of the time or just lies around looking bored and listless. Alternately, she goes through manic outbursts during which she'll dart around the house leaping off furniture and attacking plants, howl, playfully bite (although it actually hurts, especially when she catches me by surprise).

You may say that this is normal cat behavior, but I'm not convinced. If it is, it's a normal cat on Jolt Cola and the ensuing sugar crash. She became like this the last time I was pregnant. Are my hormones affecting her? Or, is it just the Kitty Reefer Madness? She's been consuming a lot more catnip lately.
