Staplehead and Pancakehead
One kid has this craniocephalaplasiapancakeheaditis thing that makes her head look like a heavily used crayon on one side. Special padded helmet and cork on fork, here we come.
The other now has staples in her head from two kids' careless accident running into her in a water fountain.
If the head wounds and traumas don't stop, I'm becoming frightful that we'll end up with a University of Kentucky fan or an Alex Keaton among our little family.
At least I'm becoming an experienced enough parent that I was able to stand calmly in an emergency room covered in my child's blood. I did not take so well the seeing of the open wound and effectively her skull when they cleaned out the wound to staple it back shut.

My nephew had to get staples in his head a few weeks ago after he fell while jumping on his mom's bed. Woops. Trust me, I know how it feels to be the mom in the ER covered in blood--you feel like the worst mom on the planet. Been there done that, twice--once with each child. No staples, but it still didn't feel good. Hope your kiddos are ok. It'll get better!
Staplehead got hers removed yesterday. Took four tries to get one of them out. Naturally they didn't numb her for the removal since it "wouldn't hurt a bit."
What a horrible, awful experience for daddy and child.
And then the nurse suggested I take her to McDonald's for a treat lunch after the bad experience. That made the already crabby vegetarian dad really have to bite his lip.
